The proverbial "tsunami" that hit the nation in the early hours of Sunday morning marks a shift in paradigm that many of us didn’t expect to see so soon: the rest of the world will be watching closely as we usher in a new era of “democracy” in the most liberal (western) definition of the word i.e. a two-party government.
In the aftermath of the tsunami, several questions linger in the uncertain air:
The RM1,000,000 question: As a developing nation, are we ready for a democracy? Or are we still too primitive of a society, too wet behind the ears, too crippled by our own petty, inherent racial prejudices, just generally too inexperienced to truly understand the implications of a democracy in motion?
(Looking at the tumbling KLCI on Monday afternoon, the markets definitely think not.)
The RM1,O00 question privately pondered in the minds of many of us ordinary, apolitical, capitalist, pop culture obsessed, apathetic, urbanites: In these uncertain times, should we be worried, or optimistic?
(The RM1.OO question: do I still have a job?)
Exciting times we live in.
On an apolitical note: do check out the excellent sale going on at Tangs, Pavillion. Good range, great discounts. 70% off, yo!

Don't let others decide your fate. Be a responsible citizen and do your duty and register as a voter for the next general election. No more being a mere spectator and lamenting about the future. Haa Haaa haaa
that anon person is mean. hahaha.
